Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Osama Fahd, the developer of Sinkly ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Sinkly you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What Sinkly does
Sinkly helps you build a habit: after the meal times you set, it locks the apps you choose, and unlocks them when a photo of your sink is confirmed clean. You can change your plan, your meal times and your locked apps at any time, even while apps are locked. Sinkly never locks phone calls, the camera, your phone's settings or the home screen.
2. Subscription, free trial and billing
- Sinkly requires a paid auto-renewing subscription (for example weekly or yearly). The price, period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your local currency.
- Free trial: if your plan includes one, you are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription and the first payment is taken. Each store account can use a free trial only once. We send a reminder one day before the trial ends if reminders are on.
- Renewal: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the same price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (in Sinkly: Settings → Manage subscription). After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refund requests follow their policies: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through Google Play. Where the law requires refunds, those rights are not affected.
- Price changes: if a price changes, the store informs you and, where required, asks for your consent before it applies.
- Restore: to use your subscription on a new phone with the same Apple ID or Google account, tap "Restore" in the app. Subscriptions cannot be moved between iPhone and Android.
- When a subscription ends, app locking stops and your plan is kept, ready for when you subscribe again.
3. The photo check
The clean-sink check uses an AI model. It is usually right but can make mistakes in both directions; if it says your sink is not clean, you can try again (up to 15 checks per day). Please photograph only your sink and use the camera on the real sink: screenshots or printed photos are not accepted.
4. Your use of Sinkly
- You may use Sinkly only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with the law.
- Do not try to bypass, reverse engineer, overload or misuse the app or its servers, or submit photos of other people without their permission.
- Sinkly is a self-help tool for habits. It is not medical, psychological or professional advice. If you are dealing with ADHD, anxiety or similar conditions, please talk to a qualified professional.
- App blocking depends on the permissions you grant and on your phone's operating system. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee that every app is locked in every situation (for example when permissions are turned off, the phone restricts background apps, or the system changes).
5. License and ownership
We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sinkly on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store or Google Play rules. The app, its design, characters, texts and code belong to us or our licensors. Fonts and open-source components are used under their own licenses.
6. Feedback
If you send ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve Sinkly without any obligation to you.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We try to keep Sinkly available, but it may sometimes be interrupted (for example the photo check needs an internet connection and the services behind it).
8. Disclaimer
Sinkly is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the app will be error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, opportunities or time, arising from your use of Sinkly. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Sinkly in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Sinkly at any time by deleting it (remember to cancel your subscription in the store). We may suspend access if you seriously breach these terms.
11. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded Sinkly from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support, or for any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims). If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use must also comply with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, and you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of restricted parties.
12. Google Play
If you downloaded Sinkly from Google Play, purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Sinkly after a change means you accept the new terms.
